Hao lawyer attacked

 
The lawyer representing Marshall Hao, a Taiwanese businessman suing Las Vegas Sands Corp. over its pursuit of a gaming concession in Macau in 2002, was attacked in Macau by two men wielding bricks. Sands lost a $70 million verdict in another suit in Nevada related to the concession quest less than two days earlier in a case filed by Hong Kong businessman Richard Suen. Hao's lawyer, Jorge Menezes, said he believed the attack was an intimidation attempt related to his work.
