Hard Rock conducts US study tour for university students

Hard Rock Japan announced that it conducted a study tour last month for a group of students to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino near Miami, Florida.

Six students from Toyo University spent two weeks to experience the conduct of business at the Hard Rock facility. The purpose was to “develop human resources for the next generation of tourism and hospitality,” according to the company’s statement.

The students were able to observe all aspects of operations, from the front desk to housekeeping to the gaming floor. This included shadowing certain employees as they carried out their duties.

“Regarding gaming, after thoroughly studying the method of the games and security practices, the students were able to experience being dealers and gain hands-on training that is not possible in Japan,” the statement noted.

In July, Galaxy Entertainment also announced a partnership with Toyo University related to educating Japanese students for participation in the future IR industry.
