IEC shuffles board, appoints new CEO


HK-listed gaming and entertainment firm, International Entertainment Corp. (IEC) has announced the appointment of Mr. Zhang Yan Min as chief executive officer, according to a filing from the operator on Friday.

Mr. Zhang has been serving as the executive director of the company since May 2017. He has over 28 years’ experiences in commercial development, investment and business management.

In the same filing, IEC also announced the appointment of Mr. Chan Chun Yiu Thomas, as an executive director of the company. Chan is the group general counsel of the company.

Resigning from the company was Mr. Lam Yat Ming as an executive director of the company, and Mr. Ren Yunan an independent non-executive director of the company.

IEC said both their resignations were due to increasing personal and business commitments which demand more of their attention.

Last month, IEC recorded a widened loss of HK$67.3 million (US$8.6 million) for the year ended March 31, 2018.

IEC is mainly involved in the operation of hotels, and the leasing of properties for casino and ancillary leisure and entertainment operations.

It is the owner of Hotel Group in the Philippines, which owns a deluxe casino hotel in Metro Manila, named AG New World Manila Bay Hotel, which of 32-floors with over 370 guest rooms and a gaming facility.
