IMGL debuts Asian Gaming Lawyer magazine with AGB

The International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL) have announced a partnership with AGB to produce a new publication for gaming lawyers, counsels and regulators in the region.

Asian Gaming Lawyer will be the latest addition to the IMGL suite of publications.

IMGL President, Joerg Hofmann, said, “One of the main purposes of the IMGL is to be an educational organization, and the exchange and transfer of know-how and knowledge are at the very heart of the endeavors of the IMGL. I am looking forward to this collaboration with Asia Gaming Brief on sharing information on current developments and legal challenges of the gaming industry in Asia and the Pacific region”.

Yap Wai Ming, partner at Stamford Law Corporation in Singapore, has agreed to be the Editor of Asian Gaming Lawyer. With substantial legal experience in Malaysia, Singapore and China and a focus on the gaming and leisure industries, Mr Yap is ideally placed to oversee the theme and content for the new periodical.

The first edition of Asian Gaming Lawyer will be published in May 2015 and distributed at the G2E Asia show. “We are delighted to be able to launch the inaugural edition of Asian Gaming Lawyer at G2E Asia,” said Rosalind Wade, Managing Director of AGB. “The collaboration makes perfect sense given the excellent reputation that IMGL has internationally as the foremost providers of information and networking for gaming lawyers. That, coupled with AGB’s reach and knowledge of the Asia Pacific gambling industry, means that Asian Gaming Lawyer should become the premier resource for gaming lawyers and counsel in the region”.
