IPI opens beachfront villas, completing first major milestone

Imperial Pacific International has opened the doors to its new VIP beachfront villas, completing the ‘first milestone’ of Phase 1, Marianas Variety reports. 

IPI senior vice president Donald Browne and vice president for construction Eric Poon took local reporters on Saturday on a tour of the east wing of the hotel-casino in Garapan.

The new rooms include six villas on the east wing of the main building and a presidential villa, along with a stand-alone two-story duplex.

Each of the villas contains swimming pools, and one of the villas on each floor has its own gaming room, said Browne. 

Poon said the completion of the beachfront villas is the ‘first milestone’ of Phase 1 and is now working on the second milestone, which is the hotel tower. 

Poon said the completion of the villas is ahead of schedule as its deadline was February 28, 2021. 

“This part of the hotel-resort has been completed and ready for operations. So we are a little bit ahead of schedule,” he said. 

He said the construction of the tower is still in progress. 

“We want to finish as soon as possible, and that is our goal,” Poon said.

 “We are looking at the target date, but hopefully we will finish everything before that,” he added.
