Japan Casino School opening new classroom in Osaka’s Shinsaibashi

Only one year after its branch opening in the Namba district of Osaka, the Japan Casino School is unveiling a new classroom in the city’s Shinsaibashi district.

The school’s three-month course package includes training in blackjack and roulette, as well as English language and the proper hospitality for customers. Students pay about JPY600,000 (about $5,450) all inclusive.

The Shinsaibashi classroom is scheduled to open on April 7.

When the three IRs open in Japan in the mid-2020s, it is anticipated that they will collectively have need for about 6,000 casino floor dealers, many of which may be graduates of the Japan Casino School and its smaller rival, Japan Casino Academy.

At this point, the Japan Casino School has more than 700 graduates, of which roughly 20 percent have found jobs in overseas casinos, with the largest number—about 60—in Singapore. About 58 percent of its students are men and 42 percent women.
