JCM gains technology partner, casino client

JCM Global, an Osaka-based firm which supplies cash transaction technologies to the gaming industry, has made two announcements in recent days, one regarding a new technology partnership with a German firm, and the other the provision of products to a soon-to-open casino in California.

The first item is a partnership between JCM Global and CountR on technologies that will secure high-speed currency acceptance for casino table games. Under the agreement, JCM will distribute CountR’s TITO system (Ticket In/Ticket Out) along with its own high-speed, high security bill validator, all directly at the table game.

For the operator, this new combination of technologies aims to reduce the number of table fills and drops per day, and for the players, it should eliminate the need to stand in line to cash chips at the cashier’s cage.

In the second item, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain, the brand’s first Vegas-style casino in California, which will open this month, has chosen to use JCM products in many roles across the property. This includes digital signage as well as bill validators, thermal printers, management systems, an intelligent cash box system, and a floor-wide couponing system.

Mark Birtha, president of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento, commented, “We are thrilled to bring our unique brand to the region and deliver authentic experiences that rock when we open our doors… Part of that experience means world-class products that directly touch our guests, and we are very pleased to have JCM products play a role in our property.”

The new casino will include approximately 1,800 slot machines and table game positions.
