Kyrgyzstan bans gambling, betting and bookmakers


The government of Kyrgyzstan has banned bookmkers and betting following an order from the President, the country’s embassy in India announced on its website. 

“Kyrgyzstan has finally banned gambling, betting and bookmakers according to the latest order of President Almazbek Atambayev signed on April 11. The related bill has already been adopted by the Parliament on February 25, 2015. The order will come into force 15 days after its official publication.”

President Almazbek Atambayev signed the Law On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts, which among other things seeks to prevent anti-social behavior resulting from gambling and alcohol abuse.
