Ladbrokes reactivates live betting feature in Australia

Ladbrokes has reactivated ‘LivePlay’, a live betting feature that was withdrawn in July following a federal probe by the Australian Communication Agency (ACMA) regarding the breach of national online betting laws.

The feature allows punters to “click to call” to place a bet over the internet through a phone system. The current Interactive Gambling Act only allows live betting over the phone.

Following a review of failed legal proceedings against the service by ACMA, Ladbrokes Australia has reactivated the in-play live betting service.
