Ladbrokes restructures trading team as Richard Harkness departs

Long-serving Ladbrokes head of greyhound trading Richard Harkness revealed to the Racing Post that he has accepted a voluntary redundancy package, effectively leaving the operator after 16 years of service.

Harkness’ departure comes amid an ongoing restructure of Ladbrokes trading division, as the operator looks improve its automated market trades and IT infrastructure.

“I finished earlier this week, and whilst am sad to leave, I also see it as an opportunity,” Harkness said.

“The company has being going through a series of restructures and period of massive change, with even more ahead given the proposed Coral merger.”
