Macau a winner in Forbes Travel Guide

Macau emerged as a major winner in the latest edition of the Forbes Travel Guide, with the highest number of five-star hotels, restaurants and spas.

Along with eight five-starred spas, the resort city boasts a dozen five-star restaurants, and another 12 five-star hotels in this year’s Forbes travel guide.

The 60th edition of the Forbes Travel Guide examined 50 countries, with ratings conducted by incognito inspectors evaluating properties based upon up to 900 objective standards, and a scoring system that uses a proprietary algorithm weighing service of 75 per cent and facility quality of 25 percent.

Melco Resorts & Entertainment  received a collective total of 71 stars across the company’s luxury integrated resorts. NÜWA Macau received a total of five 5-Stars for its offerings in accommodation, spa and restaurants.

Wynn Palace has earned a coveted Five-Star triple crown for its hotel, spa, and Sushi Mizumi restaurant. Collectively, Wynn Resorts has the most Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star awards of any independent hotel company in the world.

“Wynn Palace is the first and only resort in the world with more than one thousand rooms to receive Five Stars. That accomplishment is a testament to the team of employees who deliver a flawless experience to our guests each and every time,” said Matt Maddox, CEO of Wynn Resorts.
