Macau CAA gives green light for more flights and routes

Macau’s Civil Aviation Authority (AACM) has outlined upcoming changes to scheduled flights, signaling a positive shift for air travel in the region.

Effective late April, additional flights to Beijing and Ningbo on the Chinese mainland have been approved, with China Southern Airlines set to increase its weekly flights between Macau and Beijing Daxing International Airport from three to seven.
Similarly, Air Macau will expand its service to Ningbo, doubling its weekly flights from seven to 14 starting April 28th. These adjustments come ahead of the anticipated surge in travel during the school summer holiday season, with plans for increased services on existing regional routes and the introduction of new ones.
From July 1st, Korean Air will enter the Macau-Seoul market with seven weekly flights, joining other carriers like Air Macau, Jin Air, and Jeju Air already serving the route. Additionally, Air Macau will boost its Macau-Kuala Lumpur flights to seven per week, up from the current four, aligning with the demand for travel between the two destinations.
New regional routes have also been approved, including services to Clark in the Philippines by Philippines AirAsia starting June 1st, and flights to Fukuoka in Japan by Air Macau from July 1st.
