The head of the Macau Responsible Gaming Association, William Kuan Vai Lam, wants the minimum age for admittance to, or employment in, casinos, to be raised to 23 or 24 years, local media reported. Casinos should also up staff levels and notices reminding people about responsible gambling, he said. The operators need more staff to monitor people’s behaviour and they should also work with the government to arrange for social workers to work in gaming venues, he said.
