Macau’s gaming sector saw a small uplift in the number of full-time gaming employees, which increased 1.5 percent in 17Q4, reaching 56,624.
At the same time, DSEC noted that the number of dealers rose by 1.7 percent to 24,453.
The survey coverage excludes junket promoters and junket associates.
Looking at average earnings, the data showed that salaries of full-time employees rose by 4.3 percent reaching MOP22,940 (US$2,850) per month. Dealer salaries rose by 5.4 percent to an average of MOP19,850.
Job vacancies were at a low, totalling 460 by the end of the quarter, down 95 percent year-on-year. Most of the vacancies were for clerks and around a quarter were for dealers.
