Macau gaming operators present non-gaming investment for 2024 to the Government

Six gaming operators in Macau were invited to present their non-gaming investments for 2024 to government officials during a Council for Tourism Development meeting.
According to a press release, Macau’s gaming operators have outlined plans for a new themed food court and additional specialty restaurants, interactive and immersive themed amusement facilities, high-level concerts, themed exhibitions, and integrated medical service centers.
Representatives from the gaming companies also elaborated on their revitalization plans for Macau’s old districts, as well as new sports events scheduled for the coming year. Lei Wai Nong, Secretary for Economy and Finance for the MSAR Macau's Secretary for Economy and Finance, Lei Wai Nong, emphasized that Macau will focus on the international source market in 2024. According to the 2024 budget plan, the government intends to spend MOP235 million ($29.2 million) next year to boost the international tourist market. Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, the head of the Macau Tourism Office (MGTO), stated that a significant portion of the budget would be allocated to cooperate with airlines and hotel deals, along with various promotional programs.
