Macau gaming students visit Nevada

A group of students from the Macau Polytechnic Institute-Gaming Teaching and Research Center are on a study tour at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas to help broaden their global perspective.

The 24 students left on June 2 with the tour running through to June 12.

They will attend classroom sessions covering topics such as regulation, legal aspects of gaming and casino fraud, casino maths, gaming technology and recruitment and retention in the gaming industry.

On a practical level they will visit Las Vegas properties, such as the Bellagio Hotel and Casino and the Gold Gate Casino, Suzo Happ and Interblock’s Las Vegas offices and the Wynn Las Vegas.

Some of the students participating in the tour recently formed part of the contingent of volunteers helping to run the inaugural All Asia Dealers’ Championship held during G2E Asia and organized by Asia Gaming Brief and Reed Exhibitions/ Global Gaming Expo.
