Macau gaming tax revenue hits $1 billion in November

The Macau government collected MOP8 billion ($1 billion) in gaming revenue tax during November, up20.35 percent from the previous month and 6.4 percent yearly.

This equates with the post-COVID peak in gross gaming revenue registered in October, of MOP20.78 billion ($2.6 billion).
According to the latest data from the Financial Services Bureau (DSF), total tax on gaming revenue during the first 11 months of 2024 totaled MOP81.04 billion ($10.12 billion), a 37.2 percent yearly rise.
The figure amounts to 80.64 percent of the total revenue for the government during the 11-month period, which totaled MOP100.49 billion ($12.55 billion).
It also represents a budget execution of 96.9 percent of that expected for the whole year, in regards to taxes on gaming revenue.
Gross gaming revenue during the first 11 months of the year amounted to MOP208.58 billion ($26.04 billion), a yearly rise of 26.8 percent.
