Macau in talks with casinos over worker transport

Macau’s casinos may soon be providing shuttle buses for their non resident employees and construction site workers following discussions between the operators and Macau’s Transport Bureau.
The Bureau’s Director Chiang Ngoc Vai, is quoted in local media confirming discussions had taken place.
Chiang Ngoc Vai said the authorities had got a “positive response” from the casino operators. “It may not be very long [before the policy is implemented],” he said. Possible routes and pick up/drop off for the shuttle buses have been discussed.
In the recent election campaign Chief Executive Chui Sai On suggested casino operators should provide accommodation and transportation for foreign workers, but casino operators have said the government would have to provide more land for this to happen.
