Macau Jockey Club posts widened loss in 2015

Macau Horse Racing Co. Ltd posted a 72.3 percent increase in its annual loss in 2015, to MOP 88.4 million (US$11.1 million) from MOP 51.2 million in 2014, according to the company’s annual results.

For the year, the company saw a total of MOP 125 million in gross gaming revenues from horse-betting, a decline of 59 percent year-on-year, according to the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.

The operator’s currently horserace betting license is set to expire on August 31, 2017.
