The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau has issued a list of 100 junket operators who have been authorized to operate in Macau this year, local media reports.
The number of licensed junket operators is down from 109 which was authorized as of January 2018, and down significantly from its peak of 235 in 2013.
Despite a VIP rebound in recent years, the number of junket operators in Macau have been shrinking.
In 2015, the DICJ began implementing stricter operating rules of junket operators, which included auditing of the industry.
