Macau monthly GGR headed for a "slight improvement", say analysts

Through the first 13 days of December, Macau gross gaming per day is down 22 percent compared to the first 14 days of December in 2014, according to Deutsche Bank.

Macau’s gaming ADR for Dec. 7 -13 was in the range of MOP 570-590 million (USD 71-74 million), which is seen as a positive sign as the week during the Macau Marathon is typically a disruption for gaming, Bernstein adds.

Deutsche Bank estimates revenue for the month will be down 20.7 to 22.8 percent, which is a slight improvement from estimates made earlier in the month (down 23 to 25 percent).

On the subject of the recent news of UnionPay cards and the Macau Monetary Authority increased commitment against money laundering activities in Macau. HSBC analysts believes the impact on GGR has been overestimated.
