Macau reschedules gaming law consultations to October 22 and 25

The Macau government has rescheduled four public consultations on the draft gaming law revision to October 22 and 25, according to a government statement on Friday.

Each meeting will be divided into a morning and afternoon session to adhere to social distancing rules.

The four sessions were initially scheduled for late September and early October, but were canceled due to an outbreak of Covid-19 and a typhoon.

Secretary for Economy and Finance Lei Wai previously said that authorities would not extend the 45-day public consultation as a result of disruptions caused by the pandemic.
