Macau rising up the ranks of international convention cities

Macau is currently the 48th ranked international convention city, up 23 places since the last survey, according to International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) “International Meetings Market 2019 Report.”

Among Asia-Pacific cities, Macau now ranks 12th, up five places.

According to the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), which announced the results, science and technology related conventions have played a key role in Macau’s higher ranking.

Of course, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the convention industry both locally and globally cannot be measured at this time.
