Macau Tourism Development Committee convenes meeting


Macau’s Tourism Development Committee (CDT) convened its first Plenary Meeting of 2020 on Tuesday, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Ao Ieong U presided over the meeting and listened to perspectives on how to engineer Macau’s tourism industry recovery.

Secretary Ao expressed hope that Macau can attract more visitors through the launch of in-depth tours and megasport events.

The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) revealed that its plan comes in three stages. At the first stage, the office will support advanced promotions overseas At the second stage, the office will provide free half-day tours for overnight visitors. At the third stage, the office will institute special measures for transportation networks such as airlines, ferries, and buses

Secretary Ao also stated that Macau is in close communication with Guangdong Province and she encouraged the local tourism industry to prepare themselves to welcome outside visitors again.
