Macau union leaders urge police to drop charges

‘Drop charges against us’ is the call from the five leading members of the Forefront of Macau Gaming trade union who have all been charged with aggravated disobedience following union led protests against casino operators.
Union president Ieong Man Teng, vice-president Lei Kuok Keong, secretary-general Cloee Chao, and board members Ung Kim Ip and Loi Ngai Wai all deny breaking through a police cordon during a demonstration on August 25 for improved pay and conditions for casino workers.
