Magic Crystal to open in Yantarnaya gaming zone

The Yantarnaya gaming zone’s first gaming facility has been unveiled, situated in Russia's western-most region of Kaliningrad, NewKaliningrad.ru reports.

Magic Crystal, a two storey building currently containing 150 slot machines, was initially planned to open by September 1, 2015, but was postponed for six months. The official opening is scheduled for April 27, 2016.

The new property, owned by Moscow-based Neverland, is headed by its CEO, Alexandr Dmitrochenko, who claims to be previously involved in the gaming industry.

Dmitrochenko said that the company plans to finish the second stage of construction by the end of the year, bringing the number of slot machines to 500. He also claimed that the slot machines are new and manufactured in Austria.

Earlier this month, Neverland obtained a license to organize games of fortune, which was signed by Kaliningrad Region Economy Minister, Anastasia Kuznetsova.

Kuznetsova said that that there are two other projects being implemented in the zone: one of which is a multi-purpose complex (involving casino halls, restaurants and bars, etc) and a hotel, whose construction is expected to start in mid-May.
