Marina Bay Sands Q1 revenue up 5 percent


Marina Bay Sands first quarter property EBITDA gained 9.7 percent to $435.2 million boosted mainly by non-gaming revenue, though mass market business remained steady. Total revenue gained 5 percent in the first quarter, with casino revenue edging up 6.3 percent to $680.4 million. The high-margin hotel room revenue gained almost 15 percent. The rolling chip win percentage of 3.41 percent in the first quarter of 2014 was above the expected range, and above the 2.51 percent achieved in the first quarter of 2013. Non-rolling chip drop decreased 3.1 percent to $1.16 billion, while slot handle increased 9.5 percent to $3.05 billion. Total mass win per day during the quarter increased slightly to $4.65 million, compared to $4.64 million in the first quarter of 2013. Rolling chip volume was $12.94 billion for the quarter.
