The inaugural Mekong Gaming Summit conference concluded this afternoon, wrapping up two days of engaging content and networking.
The future of online gambling in Cambodia and more specifically, Sihanoukville, was a key point of discussion over the two days. Delegates were able to hear from key government officials including H.E. Nguon Sokha, Secretary of State, H.E. Mey Vann, Director General of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Ros Phirun, the Deputy Director-General of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Delegates were particularly impressed with the presentation made by Prof. Wolfgang G. Arlt, founder & director of the Chinese Outbound Tourism Research Institute, who shared informative statistics on the future of the Chinese outbound tourist.
The first day concluded with a Gala Cocktail Reception and property tour of NagaWorld.
Attendees heard a passionate speech from Timothy McNally, chairman of NagaWorld and were entertained with dance and musical performances, along with a large selection of canapes throughout the night.
The second day of the conference looked into more operational matters, including an update into sports betting and online gaming in SE Asia, changing game and technology habits, an interesting presentation on VIP taxation, and where to set up your SE Asia operations.
While the conference portion has concluded, a small group of delegates has moved onto the second leg of the event - a one-day tour through Sihanoukville, organized as part of the Mekong Gaming Summit.
