MGS cancelled due health and safety concerns

The Macau Gaming Show, organized by the Macau Gaming Equipment Manufacturers Association, has been cancelled for this year due to the “recent global health and safety situation,” it said.

The event was scheduled to take place at the Venetian Cotai from Nov. 17 to 19. It will now be held on Nov. 16 to 18 in 2021.

“After we have fully communicated with the industry and referred to the opinions of multiple parties, our member companies, customers, and partners jointly voted on the overall industry situation and business opportunities to make this extension decision,” it said. “We sincerely hope to provide exhibitors and visitors with a safer and healthy exhibition environment, more preparation time and better trading opportunities.”

The last of Macau’s Covid-19 patients was discharged in May, however, strict border and quarantine regulations remain in place, except for from Mainland China.
