Nepal sets Nov. 21 deadline for casinos to comply or lose license

Nepal’s Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has set a Nov 21st deadline for casinos to pay all outstanding dues and renew their licenses, or risk having their permission to operate withdrawn, local media said. Since new regulations were issued on July 11, none of the country’s casinos have renewed their permits as per the law, the reports said. Casinos owe about 550 million rupees ($5.6 million).
