Neptune cruise ship boss linked to Bo Xilai

The head of Neptune Group’s (HK:70) casino cruise ship line, Lin Cheuk-chiu, has been allegedly linked to illicit transactions with disgraced Chinese Communist Party official Bo Xilai and his wife Gu Kailai as well as other officials.  A report by the Chinese news magazine Caijing alleged Lin operates a network of underground banks involved in money laundering and corruption and in turn linked to Gu by her financial records.  Neptune Group recently finalized the acquisition of a 20 percent share of the profits of junket operator Hoi Long Sociedade Unipessoal Lda for $19.3 million. Hoi Long operates close to a dozen VIP gaming tables at SJM Holding's Grand Lisboa casino in Macau.
