Nevada gaming revenue growth slows in July


Gaming revenue in Nevada grew just 0.65 percent in July to $931.8 million after jumping 14.3 percent in June, the State Gaming Control Board said.On the Las Vegas Strip casinos collected $536.2 million in gaming revenue, an increase of 4.8 percent from a year ago.Baccarat continued to drive growth on the Las Vegas strip with revenue rising 16 percent over the same month a year ago to $133.5 million. Wagering on baccarat increased 24 percent to $1.2 billion while the hold percentage of 10.8 percent was below the 11.6 percent reported last July. Baccarat revenue accounted for 25 percent of the Strip’s July total.Nevada’s three online poker websites collected revenue of $985,000 down from around $1 million in June.
