New DICJ head pledges better use of technology

The new head of the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ), Adriano Marques Ho, has pledged better use of technology at the casino regulator, as well as to serve with integrity.

Ho was sworn in to his new post by Secretary for Economy and Finance Lei Wai Nong on Wednesday.

Ho previously served as head of the Judiciary Police’s gaming-related and economic crimes investigation unit before becoming in 2014 a top advisor to the secretary for security.

Ho will likely have a significant role in preparing for the 2022 concession tenders in addition to a full plate of other day-to-day regulatory issues.

Ho is the replacement for Paulo Martins Chan, who recently stepped down as DICJ chief.
