Macau’s authorities are continuing to bar the entry of non-resident workers into Macau, amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, according to local reports.
During a press conference over the weekend, authorities said there is no timetable as to when blue-card holders will be allowed to return to Macau.
“When the situation is controlled, when we can then lift the measures, we will adopt other measures, but now it depends on the timing. We cannot currently set a calendar for when it will be possible for these non-resident workers to return to Macau.”
The Macau government first implemented a ban on the entry of non-resident work permit holders on March 20, 2020.
Resident work permit holders coming to Macau would be allowed to enter Macau as long as they undergo a 14-day quarantine.
