NUSTAR Resort & Casino, which will be the first integrated resort on Cebu island in the Philippines, has clarified that the whole property will hold a soft opening in May.
Local media reports have focused on the opening of the luxury Fili Urban Resort Hotel, leaving a question mark over the rollout of the casino and other facilities at the property.
NUSTAR will be opened in phases with about 101 tables and 800 slots when it debuts. The second phase will be rolled out from December 2022 with more tables, slots and the introduction of junkets, the company told AGB last year.
It was originally scheduled to open in March. NUSTAR didn’t give a reason for the pushback, but the reopening of the Philippines has been delayed by the spread of the Omicron variant.
