VIP has continued to show strength in October, with the month’s GGR estimated to record a year-on-year increase of 13-15 percent, wrote Bernstein in a note on Monday.
According to the brokerage, Macau gross gaming revenue month to date (Oct 1-23) reached MOP 18.8 billion, with an average daily rate of MOP 854 million.
The figure was 19 percent over a similar period in 2016.
“According to our channel checks, VIP win rate was above normal for the month, VIP was up mid 20's percent year-on-year while Mass was up by in the range of mid-single digits percent year-on-year.”
Should the current trends continue, October GGR is expected to be in the range of MOP 24.6 billion and MOP 25.1 billion.
