Okada Manila GGR remains strong in February

Okada Manila has reported relatively strong financial results for February, with GGR of almost PHP3.3 billion (US$66 million). While this was down from the January figure, it represents a gain of 38 percent on a year-on-year basis.

Adjusted EBITDA was at PHP536 million, a year-on-year advance of 48 percent.

VIP table games saw revenue gain almost 80 percent to PHP1.72 billion, though mass table revenue dipped to PHP603 million from PHP699 million a year earlier. Gaming machine revenue rose 32.5 percent to PHP941 million.

Meanwhile, Senior Vice-President for Premium Marketing Shirley Tam announced a series of measures related to Covid-19 concerns: “We are now implementing ‘no-standing and four players only’ in all of our gaming tables. We also have the ‘one seat apart’ policy in our slot machines. Electronic Gaming Machines across the gaming floor will be sanitized every two hours. Additional hand sanitizers are available in key locations in our gaming area and we frequently sanitize our slot machines.”

Okada Manila Chief Operations Officer Byron Yip added, “The safety and well-being of our patrons is our topmost priority. This is why we are implementing these additional measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 to our Integrated Resort.”
