One more company is considering bidding for the Manila Airport rehabilitation project

Jaime Bautista, Secretary of the Philippines' Department of Transportation (DOTr), announced that the agency has received further interest from a Turkish company regarding their bid for the Manila Airport (NAIA) rehabilitation project.

Bautista mentioned that the number of potential bidders for the PHP170.6 billion ($3.04 billion) rehabilitation of the nation's primary airport has now reached eight.
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) reported that the most recent entrant expressing interest in the bid is Limak Holding A.S., a diversified conglomerate engaged in construction, energy, cement, and tourism.
Manila International Airport Consortium (MIAC) put forward a multi-phased master plan to upgrade Manila Airport in June. According to the design, it plans to double the declared capacity of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to around 70 million passengers per year, from the current 31 million.
