Packer says The Star doesn't shine

 
James Packer, chairman of Crown Ltd., lashed out at Echo Entertainment Group Ltd.'s attempt to sidetrack his planned A$1 Crown Sydney casino project with a proposed extension of its own monopoly in the city in exchange for further investment in The Star casino. Packer said The Star "is located in the wrong part of the city" and can't take advantage of Sydney harbor. He said its recent redevelopment had failed to meet Echo's pledges of quality and investment returns.
