Paddy Power boss to step down

Paddy Power Betfair’s chief executive officer has announced he will be stepping down after 16 years with the company.

No handover date has been set, but it is understood that he will be replaced by Worldpay chief executive, Peter Jackson. Mr. Jackson has been an independent, non-executive director of Paddy Power Betfair since 2016.

It is understood that Mr Corcoran has been looking for opportunities outside the gambling industry since late last year.

He said it had been a “very difficult” choice to step down.

“There is never a good time to leave, but this is the right decision for me and my family, and following the successful completion of the merger integration it is an opportune time for the business too,” he said.
