Paradise Co. gaming revenue rose sharply, GKL sales down in February

Foreigner-only casinos Paradise Co. and Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) both updated their February gaming revenues. 

According to their most recent data, Paradise Co. reported an 83.1 percent yearly rise in net revenues, at KRW81.28 billion ($61 million).
Both table gaming and slots posted an increase in revenue on a year-over-year basis. Table gaming revenues were up 82.6 percent yearly to KRW76.76 billion ($58 million). The slot segment generated KRW4.5 billion ($2.4 million) in revenue, up 92 percent from the previous year.

GKL saw strong monthly gains, but on a year-over-year basis, it recorded a decline.
Casino sales in February at GKL increased 72 percent to KRW33.68 billion ($25.3 million) compared to January; however, the sales tally fell 8.4 percent compared to the same period last year.
Table-game sales reached nearly KRW31.19 billion ($23 million), marking an 88.9 percent sequential increase but showing a 9.1 percent decline compared to the previous year.
Machine-game sales totaled nearly KRW2.5 billion, reflecting a sequential decrease of 19.2 percent yet showing a marginal increase of 1.6 percent compared to the previous year.
