Police arrested more than 100 people in raids on suspected gambling dens in Pune and Ahmedabad. The Pune raid targeted a lottery center
 
where police said the illegal numbers game matka was also operated. Officers arrested the manager, 14 agents and 53 suspected customers. The Ahmedabad raids involved six separate operations over two days, with more than 40 people arrested in total, including the son of a police official.
