Ten people were arrested last week in Macau over their involvement in an illegal proxy betting ring, Macau TDM reports.

The suspects are accused of helping Mainland chinese gamblers bet in Macau casinos through a mobile application.

According to authorities, the suspects were arrested on Wednesday in a casino VIP club in Zape and a residential unit in Nape. Two ringleaders of the betting ring are still at large.

The group has been operating since the end of last year, and has received at least HK$6.3 million (US$805,291) since.

The suspects have confessed to earning between CNY8,000 to CNY10,000 per month.
