Police raid illegal 4D online transaction centre

Seven people have been arrested in Kuching for their involvement in an illegal online gambling and 4D online transaction centre, local media reports.

Sarawak Criminal Investigation Department chief Datuk Dev Kumar said the raid was the first of its kind in Sarawak, which involved an establishment that collected online bets for illegal 4D and also provided online payments for online gambling reloads and winnings.

A total of eight computers and 18 mobile phones were seized.

Dev added that police conducted 27 successful gambling raids throughout the state last week, which resulted in the arrest of 39 individuals.
