Police take down $62 mln online gambling ring

Vietnamese police have cracked down on an online gambling ring with related transactions worth nearly US$62 million, local media reports.

Operating in Vietnam's central Thanh Hoa province, ten people, including four ring leaders have been detained by provincial police, with cars, computers, cell phones and cash seized in the raid.  

According to police, the online gambling ring handled around VND1.4 trillion (US$62 million) in betting transactions.
