Portuguese themed commercial center ready for Hengqin

Former Macau legislator and entrpreneur David Chow Kam Fai said that construction could start on his Portuguese themed plaza and commercial center planned for Hengqin by the end of the year.  David Chow, who is co-chairman of Hong Kong listed gaming firm Macau Legend Development Ltd., said his team had finalized plans for the project and that he hoped it would serve as an inspiration for other local companies to invest in Hengqin.  Chow won a 30,000 square meter plot of land with a 250 million yuan (US$42.8 million) bid and has pledged to invest up to 1.6 billion yuan on the site.
