Punters to be surveyed on minimum bet policy

Australian punters will have their chance to provide input on how minimum bet policy in Victorian racing will be formed, local media reports.

Racing Victoria chief Bernard Saundry said they would provide a survey for punters to help share the particulars of the policy, with the bulk of changes planned for the spring carnival.

"In the next two weeks, there will be a survey up on our Racing Victoria website that will allow interested parties to voice their views. We'll collate that information, and share the results of that survey with the view of putting a minimum-bet policy in place by the 1st of October… "Punters need to have their say, as do the wagering operators," Saundry told Racing.com.

A Racing.com poll taken in May also showed that punters were keen to express their views on the subject.
