Daily Asia Gaming eBrief: PH offshore gaming is still a great opportunity

Stricter regulations implemented by the Philippines’ regulator on the offshore gaming industry have not limited the sector’s potential, the CEO of Winn Tech Inc, Wilson Fang, told AGB in an interview. According to Fang, the regulations will be essential to secure the industry’s further growth, while assuring it complies with better transparency standards. Meanwhile, rating agency Fitch believes that the strong rebound in the Macau market was a significant driver for Las Vegas Sands' overall credit improvement.
In an interview with AGB, the CEO of remote slot provider Winn Tech, Wilson Fang, commented that the Philippines’ offshore gaming industry still holds great opportunities, despite the stricter regulations implemented by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation. Fang considered that the new regulations over the Philippines offshore gaming industry will help improve “compliance and regulatory standards” and provide “better transparency", being an important step to secure the industry's further growth.
