RGB managing director out on bail, company denies links to political funding

Malaysian-based supplier RGB International has announced that its managing director, Dato’ Seri Chuah Kim Seah, is ‘currently on bail’ and is ‘giving his full cooperation’ with an investigation into the company following an article release alleging impropriety.

The group had previously refuted the article’s claims, linked to alleged political funding ahead of the nation’s general elections.
Now, the firm has publicly stated that the managing director is out on bail and that it’s independent non-executive director, Tan Sri Norazman Bin Hamudin, ‘was not arrested’ by Malaysian anti-corruption authorities.
RGB now states that the investigation ‘had been largely focused on his (Tan Sri’s) private business related to slot clubs'.
The company furthers that ‘RGB's involvement in this investigation is solely related to the sales of machines to Malaysia's slot clubs.’
Furthering previous statements, the group now states: ‘The Company wishes to stress that it has not and will not condone any form of ''political funding''. The Company's Directors have no link to any politician in the country’.
