The Russian government has reported a twofold increase in gaming tax revenue (amounting to just about 35,000 dollars or 2.4m roubles) in 2014, compared with 2013.

"In 2014, a revenue growth was achieved within all major revenue sources of the consolidated budget of the Russian Federation. Proceeds from the gambling tax have increased 2.1 times (by 2.4 million roubles)," the press service said.

From January 1, 2015, the maximum tax rate on gambling was introduced in Crimea and Sevastopol.

According to preliminary estimates, the gambling complex in Primorye alone will annually bring to the regional budget about 180 million roubles.
